The deadline for submitting open-session papers, workshops and posters for the 2017 Archaeological Institute of America annual meeting is a week from Sunday, 7 August. Papers may still be submitted for two additional weeks (until 21 August) with a $25 late fee.
The abstract for open-session papers and posters must not exceed 400 words and must conform to the AIA Style Guidelines for Annual Meeting Abstracts, available in PDF format in the Annual Meeting section of the AIA website.
Abstracts may be submitted online using a form on the AIA website. Submissions will be evaluated in September, and those who submit should be notified in early October whether the paper has been accepted. Speakers then must become AIA members by 15 November if they aren't already.
The AIA annual meeting, held in conjunction with the Society for Classical Studies, will take place 5-8 January 2017 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in Toronto.
