The Centre de Recherche Bretonne et Celtique at the University of Western Brittany is offering a two-week intensive course on Breton language and culture for English speakers from 22 June to 4 July 2015 at the university's branch campus in Quimper.
The mornings will be spent in intensive language study, either Breton (for beginners and those with only rudimentary knowledge) or French (for those with intermediate-level French-language skills).
Afternoons for all participants will be devoted to lectures in both English and French (with supporting materials in English) on various aspects of Breton traditional culture.
The total enrollment is capped at 30 — divided into 15 each in the Breton- and French-language morning classes. The total cost is €600, which includes tuition and lodging. Application deadline is 15 May, or when the enrollment is full.
