Once every decade, I visit an ophthalmologist, because I think it a good idea occasionally to have a real doctor give me an eye exam. Yesterday was that occasion. (My eyes, by the way, are in very good health.)
Since my last visit, the practice's office moved to a large, new building for eye specialists that has a dedicated, adjacent parking garage. Finding a parking spot, however, proved to be the most nerve-racking experience of the entire visit. Vehicles only vaguely adhered to the lines marking off parking spots. I thought to myself, "These are the worst parking jobs I've ever seen."
Then it occurred to me, there is a reason these folks were visiting an ophthalmologist.
I ended up parking on the roof away from other vehicles.
