Earlier today I was remarking upon the blooming of the daffodils, and appropriately enough, I have learned today from Prof. Sioned Davies of two fixed-term lectureships in Welsh at Cardiff University.
One lectureship is for a 5-year term for a recent or soon-to-receive Ph.D. in any aspect of Welsh literature but with a preferred specialty in sociolinguistics and Welsh diaspora studies. The other position is a 10-month, maternity-leave Welsh-language teaching position.
Applications are due 1 May. Information is available on the Cardiff jobs website (in the "Language of Heaven" only).
Further enquiries can be made via e-mail to Sioned Davies at DaviesSM@cardiff.ac.uk..
