King's College London seeks a recent Ph.D. with training in Latin palaeography for a one-year position under the direction of Prof. Julia Crick and Dr. Peter Stokes for the research project The Conqueror’s Commissioners: Unlocking the Domesday Survey of South-Western England.
The successful candidate will have special responsibility for recording the physical construction of the book and must be able to make independent palaeographical judgements and have experience in handling medieval manuscripts. The position will be based in Exeter (as the project deals with South-Western England), but frequent travel to KCL is anticipated.
The 12-month appointment (presumably to begin in October) has a salary of £32,277.
